COVID-19 3/28/2020 Update

Please see the following announcement regarding COVID-19:

Alliance continues to adapt as we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our priority is the health and safety of our patients, their families, our community, and our team. In an effort to further prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Alliance Behavioral Health team is adopting changes based on the recent orders made by Governor Ivey and recommendations from the CDC regarding non-emergency procedures:

– The office staff will be operating remotely and are available to answer the phone and respond to emails. Our system is set up to fully operate remotely, and we do not expect any interruption in communication with our office for our patients and referring providers. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

– All services will be transitioned to a Telehealth format until circumstances permit. This includes new patient appointments, ongoing therapy sessions, and appointments to review test results. The office staff will be calling to assist patients with accessing our Telehealth system.

– All psychological and neuropsychological testing will be suspended until circumstances permit. Unless Governor Ivey extends the current order, we plan to resume testing appointments on Monday, April 20th. If you have testing scheduled during this period, our staff will contact you to reschedule.

Thank you for your support as we navigate these unprecedented and trying times. We are fortunate that Telehealth services are available to maintain high-quality patient care.

We wish all of our patients and families health and safety during this time!

COVID-19 3/17/2020 Update

Please see the following announcement regarding COVID-19:

– Alliance remains open, though we realize that a shutdown could occur at any time. We will post any announcements here and contact patients individually if this occurs.

– Most insurance companies have expedited Telehealth coverage for most mental health services. As of today, we are transitioning practitioners to an online platform, so that appointments can continue remotely if the office is formally closed. If you are interested in a Telehealth appointment, please contact the office so that we can set you up in the system.

– We are unable to conduct psychological testing/assessments via Telehealth at this time. In-person appointments will continue until further notice as long as the patient meets pre-screening requirements.

– Please feel free to use the outside door closest to our office to enter and exit the building, in order to maintain social distance and minimize exposure.

Thank you for your help!

COVID-19 3/14/2020 Update

Dear patients and families,

We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and its impact on our community. Our highest priority is protecting the health of our staff, patients, and their families. As a result, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and sanitation procedures in the office. In order to slow the risk of transmission and to protect all people, please see the following guidelines:

  • We will be calling ahead of your appointment and performing prescreening by asking important questions. Screening will also take place when you arrive at our office. If you answer yes to any of the following you will need to be rescheduled:
    • Have you had a fever, active cough, or felt unwell in the past 72 hours?
    • Has anyone in your household had a fever, active cough, or felt unwell in the past 72 hours?
    • Have you travelled internationally or domestically via air within the last 14 days?
  • Please limit nonessential family members/guests in the office in order to reduce crowding in the waiting room and overall transmission of germs.
  • Please wash your hands often and thoroughly.
  • Please monitor this page for any updates, as this is a rapidly changing situation.

Thank you for your help!
