Dawn Jordan, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I attended Athens State University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Sciences with a Minor in Religious Studies. I then went on to attend Grand Canyon University to achieve my master’s degree in Professional Counseling.

Throughout my career I have 19 years combined experience in different settings working with people in crisis who are seeking help. I am passionate about working with my clients and believe in building a good rapport. My experience includes eight years of working with people who suffer from the grips of substance abuse and/or alcoholism. I am familiar with 12 step communities as well as medication assisted treatments used to treat addiction/alcoholism and have knowledge of the disease concept.

I have also had the opportunity to work with and assist people with severe mental illness and spent nine years being of service to our local emergency rooms providing psychiatric assessments and referrals. I also collaborated with ER doctors, nurses, psychiatrists to aid in the process of providing clients with appropriate treatments for all age groups. I am currently seeing clients ages 12 through 60.

All growth is a process and achievable in a calm, confidential, and nurturing atmosphere and begins one step at a time!
